Are there any specific programmes which cause this ?

Do you run other programmes whilst online ?

Well, it's just when I open programs. It's not program specific because one day I can have Firefox (always open) and I open maybe Excel & Photoshop maybe. It's just randomly starts to do it. It only has been doing this for maybe a week or so. I have googled the problem and many say it has something to do with avi. files but I am not using AVI files but I am not sure why a avi file would cause this and why would a avi file cause this.

Excell and Photoshop are very processor/memory intensive programmes and you have less than 1Gb of memory. So that may be what is slowing everything down. I imagine your graphics is inbuilt using about 256 Mb which will also drain your system resources. So as a test open Photoshop and check how much drain is being placed on the system by looking at task manager

I downloaded Process Explorer and I see what the actual process which is under explorer.exe that is taking up the room. USER32.dll!CreateSystemThreads

I notice that the total space that explorer.exe is taking up is coming solely from that specific file. I am not familiar with the file or anything so I have no idea what to do but I am sure that helps you a bit with diagnosing the problem.

Actually, my computer perform great with me opening the programs with the cpu usage being very low. However, if you look at my previous post the file above which is USER32.dll!CreateSystemThreads is taking all my cpu usage via explorer.exe

Could you now go down on that section and see which programme is using it

e.g

USER32.dll!CreateSystemThreads:

ntoskrnl.exe!KiDispatchInterrupt+0x7f
nview.dll!NVLoadDatabase+0xbff

well the stack for USER32dll! is:

ntkrnlpa.exe+0x6a7bf
ntkrnlpa.exe!PsDereferencePrimaryToken+0x362
USER32.dll!MoveWindow+0xd4
USER32.dll!MoveWindow+0x79
USER32.dll!GetWindowTextLengthW+0x9a
ntdll.dll!KiUserCallbackDispatcher+0x13

Edit: csrss.exe also alternate with explorer.exe with taking up some CPU Usage. I know the problem is bigger than what it shows but we know it's not a virus after cleaning out yesterday and the problem is common

OK what is the card type/model as Nvidia can cause this type of problem and a update of the driver can cure it

Go to control panel and select System > Device manager
Click the + next to display adapters and it will display the adapter
Right click that and select properties and on the first tab it will give the details
