here are some screen shots when i try to start outlook

when i click retry it stays the same
when i click cancel it closes
when i click work offline this happens

I dont even get a chance to type anything in it just starts a (thing to click?) after another

by the way, Thanks for replying so quickly.
also, i think i messed up the configuration when i tried it the first time so i tried to start over again by reinstalling it, but somehow (maybe microsofts good design) the configurations stayed the same that i cant change it.

so how to I reset the configuration?

click start > settings > control panel > then double click the "mail" icon in control panel...press the "email accounts" button. make sure that "view or change existing accounts" is checked and press next... then use the add button to add the gmail account (following the instructions from gmail that i linked to earlier)...once that account is created delete the other mail account that is showing there (should say microsoft exchange)

is it okay if I press work offline ? - even though i am connected to internet?

yeah work offline just tells outlook not to try to retrieve info from the internet

sorry for this late reply but i recently found out another problem.
Only google chrome can connect me to internet. not even windows explorer or firefox or itunes.

I know this changes the subject but do you know how to fix it?
