I'm getting error messages could not find require user interface dll, and Oxc0000142. Is there a way to restore my

system from the system volume info folder to access older restore dates? The daes that are offered are not

I don't think you can access older dates.
If you have your Windows CD, you can do a repair.

is this the error message...

The Logon User Interface DLL msgina.dll failed to load....

can you boot at all...can you boot into safe mode...
if no then follow edge2022's advice...you will have to repair xp

By doing a system repair installation you can keep your current programs and data intact. This will allow any missing or corrupted files to be repaired or replaced. As with any type of system installation it is always advisable to back up important data just in case something goes wrong. Good suggestion edge2022
