I may need to be in another forum, perhaps malware, but I'm not 100% where my problems lie and Vista is the only thing I can think it might be.

Here are my problems:

* Windows often slower than it should be on start-up
* Internet Explorer (and sometimes other programs) will start to do something and a 'Not Responding' message will come up. A couple I can understand but it's getting a bit frequent.
* IE will occasionally flood my desktop with multiple windows when I click on a link (or sometimes on shutdown).
* I kept having to reinstall my printer. I've sort of solved this buy keeping it on all the time which I don't really like to do.
* When closing down Microsoft Word it will then tell me that it has unexpectedly shut down and restarts the program

I do regular scans and clean ups too so I'm sure its not an infection.

Any help would be appreciated, cheers.

That smells of adware...

I suggest you go to the Malware Forum and run all the steps located in the START HERE. These self-help tools will help you clean up 70% of problems on your own. If you are still having problems after doing the steps, then please post a HijackThis Log in THAT forum. If you are unable to run and/or post a HJT log, then post that in your initial post in the topic you create in that forum.

If you are still having problems after being given a clean bill of health from the malware expert, then please return to THIS thread and we will pursue other options to help you solve your current problem(s).
