There is something wrong with the last slash. Is there anyway to fix?
please help!

check your install.

C:\Program Files\Call of Duty 2\Main\
that is the path to the main pk3 files. I would check your path and change accordingly.

two things:

open explorer and browse to your cod install location. look for defaut_mp.cfg. May also be called config_mp.cfg (don't have cod2 installed atm to verify). Open it in notepad and look for the path C:\Program Files\Call of Duty 2\Main\main/main
What I highlighted in red is the extra bits that can be removed.

option 2 is to uninstall the game, make sure the install folder has been deleted and then reinstall. Then apply all the proper patches.
