hi i got a acer laptop running vista 32 and its running like crap, all i know is on xp. The symptoms i got is a random shut down on boot up the first time, after a while u can get to the desktop but u can not access the web or run certain programs like the wireless internet process. I can access task manger but its limited , some process or task manager its self wont shut down. Deleting is mostly out of the question and running installs has ended with failure, i need help bad any thoughts?

• Paste the MGA Diagnostic Report back here in your next reply.

sorry for the wait, i just got kicked out the house..... anyways, the labtop doesnt have any connectivity to the internet. doesnt MGADiag have a stream service?

are you able to download the program onto a cd or flashdrive from a good machine and transfer it to the bad machine?

more than likely but running it may be another issue. i tryed to install superantispyware and it doesnt even bring up the installation wizard.

well all tranfers failed. so i just rolled out another ethernet cord and got online, i got it on the desktop now , but not getting any progress after i try to run it. it does show up on the taskmanagerlist but nothing yet.

OK, lets try ComboFix.exe. Please visit this webpage for download links, and instructions for running the tool:

also:

We will run OTListIt , but go for a shortened log.

• Close all windows and open it by double clicking on the icon
• we are targetting a selective output, hence:
  • on the left hand side, in the box titled "Processes" select none
  • on the left hand side, in the box titled "Drivers" select none
  • on the left hand side, in the box titled "Extra Registry" select none
  • on the right hand side, in the box titled "Files created within" select none
  • on the right hand side, in the box titled "Files modified within" select none
  • tick both the boxes marked Purity check and Lop check
• Click Run Scan and let the program run uninterrupted
• It will produce one log for you called OTListIt.txt. Please post both that log here in reply.
• You may need to use two posts to get it all on the forum
