Dear all,

I am having trouble with removing these viruses and I would like to have some professional advice and help from you.

I have an ASUS F3P laptop with two OSs (XP MCE Chinese version "MCE" on a partitioned C drive and XP Home English version "Home" on a partitioned D drive). Last Saturday when the laptop (the "Home" version) was downloading something the computer got funny. Later when I rebooted it to the "Home" version at first the login screen had an error message like "sidxsj.dll is not a correct disk image" on the logon screen. I knew that the "Home" version had got virus so I used Spybot to check which found "W32.Delf.uc". After spybot said it "successully" removed the virus I rebooted to "MCE" version (which worked fine) to delete that file under system32 directory of the "Home" version. Then I went back to the "Home" version but the OS just stopped before the logon screen. I went back to "Safe Mode" of the "Home" version and tried to restore it to an earlier working point without success. After another attempt to remove W32.Delf.uc using Spybot under "Safe Mode" the virus is still there and my "MCE" version started to reboot itself before the logon screen (tried restore without success). Now I can only enter two OSs under "Safe Mode" without any Internet connection and Norton Anti-virus 2007 cannot found any virus on both drives at all.

The "home version" has Norton Anti-virus 2007, Peer Guardian 2, Spybot and AVG Identity Theft and the "MCE" version has only Norton Anti-virus 2007. I also tried to restore the registry to a previous working back-up but the access was denied. I have deleted the key "vtUmJARh" under "Winlogon Notify" and modified "AppInit_DLLs:" to "APSHook.dll".

Last night I ran ClamWinPortable to scan the C-drive ("MCE" version) and found the following:

"C:\RECYCLER\S-1-5-21-1214440339-1788223648-839522115-1004\Dc99.rar: Backdoor.Agent-6 FOUND"

It's possible that my C-drive ("MCE" version) has been infected with this. So far I haven't found any solution to remove this yet. I am also running ClamWinPortable to check the D-drive ("Home" version) and will post the scan result tomorrow if necessary.

Before the final resort to wipe out everything and re-install everything from scratch, is there any thing I can do to save it from this route (Asus people said so)? I am posting the two log files from HijackThis. Please note that the two log files were created under the "Safe Mode" as I cannot go back to the normal logon screen.

Yesterday I have downloaded two removal tools (Pareto Logic and Dr Web Cureit. Do you recommend that I run these first?

I have also tried to install Kaspersky Internet Security 2009 but received a message "The system administrator has set policies to prevent this installation". Since I already have Norton Anti-virus 2007 installed, do I need to remove it under "Safe Mode"? I will try to get some answers from Kaspersky guys.

Thank you very much for your help. Any advice is appreciated!
