OK i just reformatted my computer re-put xp on it and all the drivers Ive used in the past installation but every time i try to put put it on 1024 i hit apply and it goes back to 640 there's nothing new all the drivers worked before on the past installations i monitor driver is install i have a m8200n hp xp media center ed service pack 3. and here's the specs and Ive tried reinstalling the driver and updating the driver still no luck and Ive used the nvidia control panel and that don't work either and tried safe mode but it wont save it either also it will hold my 32bit color setting just not the resolution

I know this sounds like a silly question. Are you confirming the change after you hit apply. If you do not it will change back after 30 seconds.
