Any new software downloaded or updates installed even if they came from Microsoft? Music, Games, Movies
If not then either windows has been corrupted or there is a possibility of a infection.

There may have been updates since they occur all the time but I honestly do not remember at this point. I will try and get someone from the IT dept to help since all of this is starting to screw with my adobe programs.

I would talk to them about doing a repair installation and doing the SFC scan that edge mentioned at the beginning. This may help so they won't have to do the repair installation. Please let us know what you find out.
