It's the sfc /scannow command we used earlier. Rshaffer, sfc returned no errors, when he did it earlier.

I suggest you post in the Vista Forums, and give a link to this topic. I have very little experience working with Vista.

uninstall ANVSOFT and reinstall it ...it will replace the missing .dll

i did just went a head and uninstalled the program then reinstalled it. i was worried about losing some stuff so i didn't want to risk doing it, but decided to do it. thanks.

Looks like you went with a reinstallation. Did you lose the stuff that you wanted to keep? Also, it's good to see that this is resolved. :)

thank goodness no I did not lose anything!!! (it was a dvd I made for my daughters 16th b-day...need more copies) thanks for all your help.
