I'm back, with yet another problem.

I have a Dell XPS running Vista. it has always run vista with no problems. well today it's been acting up all day. internet cuts out then comes back in...usually it it out. Rebooting seems to help but only for a little while and then it's back to the same shenanigans.

It does this in Firefox and IE--both.

Doesn't matter what website. They all refuse to work sometimes, AIM too.

Also, recently I rebooted my computer and the monitor resolution was smaller, for no reason. It's fine this way, actually I think I like it better, but what gives?

NO I have not installed or removed anything new.

Where do I even start in fixing this? I need step by step help. Can you guys and girls here give me another miracle? :)

Thanks in advance. I'll do anything you suggest except take my computer apart or anything.

Since your internet is cutting in and out, and your resolution has changed...

I suggest you go to the Malware Forum and run all the steps located in the START HERE. These self-help tools will help you clean up 70% of problems on your own. If you are still having problems after doing the steps, then please post a HiJackThis Log in THAT forum. If you are unable to run and/or post a HJT log, then post that in your initial post in the topic you create in that forum.

If you are still having problems after being given a clean bill of health from the malware expert, then please return to THIS thread and we will pursue other options to help you solve your current problem(s).
