Ok, so after installing software for my Blackberry onto a vista based pc I was told to restart and I did. When Vista was loading, before anything really appeared on the screen I got two error messages. The first one is titeled WerFault.exe - Application Error. and says The instruction at 0x776c8fb3 referenced memory at 0x776c8fb3. The requested data was not placed into memory because of an I/O error status of 0xc000009c. tells me to click ok to terminate the program. Immediately after LogonUI.exe - Application Error pops up with The instruction at 0x776c5815 referenced memory at 0x776c5815. The requested data was not placed into memory because of an I/O error status of 0xc000009c. again with the ok to terminate program and when this happens the screen stays black and then eventually the computer reboots. I ran the Vista repair utility and it said the O/S should be booting up just fine. What is my next step?

*Ok quick edit - ran the Windows Memory Diagnostic Tool - told me everything is fine but still displaying error messages on reboot and Vista will still not load.

Hello,
Is your blackberry plugged in while you try to boot?
Did you make any other changes (software or hardware)?
Please make sure that any USB devices (not printers) are unplugged.
When the computer is just starting (repeatedly) press the F8 key to load the boot options menu. (It will give you choices like "start Windows normally, Safe mode, last known good configuration, etc.)
Choose last known good configuration
Post back and let me know if this fixed the issue, or not.
There may be an issue with the blackberry software and it may have to be removed. You will have to contact the manufactures tech support for that to be corrected.

Have you tried safe mode to remove the blackberry software?
Do you have an original Vista DVD? (not a recovery disk)
The blackberry software may be a coincidence. If the software for the device was at fault last known good configuration would have solved the issue most of the time.
Is this a laptop or desktop? I ask because you may have to reseat your ram, or remove one piece at a time to see if you have a faulty piece of RAM.

Yes Safe mode does the same exact thing. It loads all the drivers but then when Vista actually starts to load the error messages still pop up. Its an OEM Vista DVD. It is a desktop and I am gonna try the RAM option, see if that works. I can access the command prompt from the repair screen, if theres anything I can do from there maybe?

The OEM DVD should still give you the repair option. Try using the disc and selecting R to do a repair of your operating system.
Use care that you do not reinstall and lose all of your data.

Yes it does. This is on a Vista O/S though and I have done the repair option and it says everything is running fine.

*Update* Pulled each RAM stick out one by one with no success so that rules that out.

*Update#2* Attempted system restore, gave an error message - but was able to find a menu, right click and delete the blackberry software. Attempted system restore again, this time it restored but with no difference in the end result, error messages still pop up and computer sits there with a black screen

*Update#3* After letting the machine just sit there I noticed the default windows Vista screen saver is running......

Try enabling bootlogging (it's an option in the Safe Mode screen).
Once it's done (and the errors have occurred), locate the C:\\windows\Ntbtlog.txt file and open it. Search for entries (toward the end) that include the word "fail" (without the quotes).

Beyond that, you'll have to look into the system start and boot start drivers to locate a driver that could be causing this (likely to be related to the Blackberry?).
