Hi
You have been kind enough to help in the past when then internet icon wnet missing. I reset it with TASKBAR, PROPERTIES. This time the VOLUME, INTERNET, and POWER icons were grayed all day yesterday, so it was a guessing game as far as connectivity goes. This morning I was able to recheck those selections!! Does anyone know how to expel the evil spirit for once and for all??

muchos thank yous
Carol

Run System File Checker.

Start> (search) CMD > Right click on Command Prompt and click Run as Administrator.

Please enter:

sfc /scannow

and make sure it completes. This should fix those system files bugs.
