Sims 2 Error message

Well i just installed Sims 2 expansion and when i click on Sims 2 it gives me a message!! :)

Failed to enumerate any Direct X9 compatible graphics adapters in this system!

Please make sure have a DirectX9 compatible graphics adapter and have intslled the latest maufaturer provided driver.

The application will now terminate.

Please help i would like to play Sims 2 again. Incase you need this here is my information. And i do have my drivers all updated.

try installing directX9 http://download.cnet....html?tag=mncol then try running that game.


if that doesn’t work, try doing this:
start>run>dxdiag

:) Sadly, I didn't work. Oh, I forgot. I'm using a No-Cd Crack maybe that could be a problem?

i got 1 question.

1. How old is your computer, and is the nividia gforce 7900 the video card that came with it?

Sorry for not responding for a while.
Its actually a GeForce 7600 GT and i had no problems with any games but this. And it did not come with the pc
and i have reinstalled sims 2.
*sigh* another error this time a get a red X
nothing else so i dont know what to do :)
And my pc isnt that old its from 2008 maybe i should try after i get a new pc in the summer but i would like to play sims 2 soon :)
I've never had this problem with this game untill i installed the expansions

go to start>run>dxdiag click on display and test direct3D and directdraw. tell me if any of the boxes/ lines did not show.
