Anyone ever had this problem?

Im using a sony ericsson mobile phone to hook into 3's H network (3g), but every time i goto my hotmail (or windows live mail as its now known), i get redirected to Mobile info site.

Anyone know any workarounds?

hotmail (and all of windows live) can't be directly accessed via a mobile browser....not sure why they've done it this way...but they have..

if you browse to mobile.uk.msn.com you can get to all of the links etc...they do have a mobile app (for windows mobile) that will let you have all of MSN on your phone (hotmail, msn messenger, etc)....if you go to the msn.co.uk address on your phone there should be a link to download it

yeah...see how omitting a small piece of information makes it a completely different issue?

the issue is that the sites are seeing you as a mobile user because you're using the phone as your connection...so it thinks you're a phone.....the only method that i can think of to fix this would be to use a proxy server to change where the site thinks you're coming from

that's stupid . the guy probably "confirmed" it himself...all you have to do is post an answer with one account then come back on another account and click the button saying it solved your issue...they should make it so that only the OP can press that button since they're the ones that can say it solved they're problem or not..

its a company called 3, they block just about everything. any hint of a service they offer and you get an automatic redirect.

The post was marked by my co-moderator, Windows Live JK, as answered because he has provided a troubleshooting step that could help resolve the problem. This doesn’t mean that my co-moderator has resolved your friend’s problem.

. . . hit it /answered
