Connection fails when uploading...

Hey,

I'm having a little bit of a problem lately with my internet connection. I have an excellent connection when it comes to downloading and surfing the internet, but when i'm sending something via Messenger or uploading photos or anything, the connection just stops and starts again, interrupting my uploads and my messenger/skype/any sessions. I've called my ISP and they told me that this was maybe a problem with the computer, something to do with the firewall or something.

I was wondering if anybody could help me solve this PLEASE!!
