I was told by member "rshaffer61" to go through the Malware Forum and repost this after completing the intro steps. Malware Staff "Jimmy2012" cleared me of Malware Problems. See the following post link for all details:

I am working on a friends Toshiba Satellite R25-S3503. Win XP pro SP2.

I am getting the following error message when booting up on my Windows Desktop
""TouchED Error Retrieval of "THotkey" failed Error Code -0x00031402, 0x00000002""

** SEE JPG Attached **

I also have noticed that the sound is not working. I do not see any errors though in the DMgr. I am thinking that somehow the registry was corrupted and when some of the viruses & malware was removed before posting to this forum, poss partial registry demage was done.

I am at the pt where I am about to use a restore CD. If anyone can help so I can salvage the files & time of configuring it would be quite helpful.
