can't get rid of troj/rustok n, have gone through the malware remo

I got a message from a website saying that I could not access it because my computer was infected with troj/rustok n and that is was performing attacks through DOS on some sites. Most searches on search engines also get me redirected. I have followed all of the steps in the malware removal guide with no progress yet. I am unable to update malwarebytes and also Trend Micro Internet Security. Please let me know the next step I should take. Thanks in advance!
