Every time I start up my computer the C:\Program Files\Dell folder opens. How do I get it to stop doing this? I googled for an answer and looked at several things but nothing I found seemed to fit my situation. Please help!

Thanks for your quick reply.

That was one of the solutions that I found when I googled for an answer. I followed the instructions and I couldn't find the Dell Quickset entry and the DellSupport entry was already in quotes as shown. Any other suggestions?

I'm sorry, my bad. Somehow, "spaces" got into my script.
It should read:

:reg
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run

I see nothing wrong here.
Dell Support Center is a real pain, and usually I recommend a total uninstall, since it's worthless, but if you want to keep it, make sure, you have the latest version: http://support.dell....mp;toggle=false

Thank you Broni for carrying this on further.

"DellSupport"=""C:\Program Files\DellSupport\DSAgnt.exe" /startup"
"DellSupportCenter"=""C:\Program Files\Dell Support Center\bin\sprtcmd.exe" /P DellSupportCenter"
"DellSupportCenter"=""C:\Program Files\Dell Support Center\bin\sprtcmd.exe" /P DellSupportCenter"

Uninstall Dell Support Center as suggested by Broni earlier.

That is what is kinda weird about this whole thing. I don't have Dell Support Center loaded. I uninstalled it a long time ago. I'm assuming that these are left over pieces of the previous program that were not removed in that uninstall. Just to be on the safe side, I downloaded it again today and then uninstalled it hoping that it might pick up those left over pieces but no luck. The Dell folder still opens on start up. I ran another scan (see below) and they are still there. Since I've already uninstalled Dell Support Center, would it be safe and would it solve the problem if we removed these two lines from my registry? If so, please instruct me on how to do that. Thanks.

1. Create new restore point.

2. Open Notepad, and paste following text into it:

REGEDIT4

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run]
"DellSupportCenter"=-
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run]
"DellSupportCenter"=-

Save the file to your desktop as dell.reg
Double click on the file, and allow registry merge.

Restart computer.
