USB Port detected as device not recognize

my usb port still working but not recognize. what ever usb i connect to my notebook completely detected as device not recognize. the worst thing is, when i connect thumd drive to my usb port, my notebook suddently hang/ stuck like [bleep]. i have to restart my note manually. :) Plz someone help me... :) even i have read other comment about usb port problem, but it isn't work.... :)

which operating system? if it is linux, could you post yor dmesg output?
