Just noticed the iexplore.exe process has a + on the left of it. When you click to expand there is the process that cause all the problems.

They are identical apart from one has that SCODEF nonsense at the end that shows up in the Report. Also the PID (whatever that is!) is 3704 on the one that doesn't show on the Report.

I have no idea if this means anything!! :)

Task Manager has two iexplore.exe processes as well.

This is all not normal.

I suggest that you start a new topic in the Malware Removal and Spyware Removal area.

Before you start a new topic click on this link --> Malware and Spyware Cleaning Guide, Please read before starting a new topic. This will give you a few preparations to make, as well as instruction for posting your OTListIt2 log.

If you are still having problems after being given a clean bill of health from the malware expert, then please return to THIS thread and we will pursue other options to help you solve your current problem(s).

We have to make sure, your computer is clean.

Hi Broni,
OK - it took some time, but finally got the clean bill of health!

Things are a little better, but still getting hangs - something is still not right.

I found a program called Process Lasso - is this any use to me?

Cheers. :)

I'd start with adding another 512MB of RAM, and I'm sure, you'll see big improvement.

Personally, I don't believe in any miracle programs.
Normally, computer shouldn't need any extra tools to run well.

OK - thanks for all your help & advice. I will report back once I have boosted the RAM.

The final question, I downloaded a few things during the diagnosis. Should I keep them or delete them now?:

Everest Home Edition
What's Running
Process Explorer

Cheers!
