I'm clueless...have some kind of adware/virus

Ok I am not at all computer savvy and I have no idea what I'm doing. I went to a site and suddenly my macafee virus protection was removing a bunch of stuff. But this one thing wasn't removed, it was something like "virusscan 2009" or something like that. I can't get the exact name now because my computer keeps going to the blue screen if I start it up. Before I got the blue screen it kept giving different pop ups and fake scanning. I kept answering no and tried to run a full scan on macafee it kept getting an error and wouldn't let me scan. Then I got the blue screen, and now if I try to start it in normal mode I just get the blue screen. I started it in safe mode, but I have no idea what to do. I read the malware removal guide but I can't connect at all to the internet to download any tools for removal and system restore doesn't work and macafee doesn't work in safe mode either. I tried to do repair from my start up disk, but I didn't have the option to press "R" it just kept beeping. I'm sorry I don't know at all what I'm doing. Please help me figure this out. I'll check back here tomorrow afternoon, it's after 6 am and I've been up all night trying to fix it.... Thanks in advance :)

Well it seems I'm completely screwed. I talked to my mom's IT guy and he said to just perform a clean installation because all the other stuff I was doing wasn't working. I've booted from the CD and tried to install, but when it's about to start installing, around 2 minutes after accepting agreement, my computer just turns to a black screen and immediately shuts off. It seems that I am doomed :) plz plz plz help me!
