I have a pair of hard drives in RAID 0 on a ICH9R on a MSI X38 motherboard.
When I boot up from 'power off', I get the message:
Intel Matrix Storage Manager Option ROM V 7.5.0.1017 ICH9R
Raid Volumes: None Defined
Physical Disks: both listed but shown as "Offline Member"
Once no operating system is found, I press Ctl-Alt-Del, the system re-boots and RAID works perfectly.
This happened with a pair of Barracuda 7200.11s, but I have now replaced these with a a pair of Solid State Drives, and the problem remains exactly the same !
I have upgraded the BIOS to V 1.5, but this has made no difference.
O.K. sure, it's not the end of the world, but does anyone have any ideas: am I doing something wrong?
