Can anyone recommend a good regestry cleaner?

There's so many out there that it is confusing to decide which one is the best.

Geeks to Go does not recommend registry cleaners. That is all that needs to be said!

Is it because you don't beleive they do any good or some other reason?

A registry cleaner will not increase your system's speed or performance, and has the potential to break your registry to the point that your PC is no longer bootable. We strongly advise that people stay away from any of the registry cleaners out there. This link gives more information about why registry cleaners aren't needed.

G2G doesn't recommend registry cleaners, as they can sometimes cause many system problems.
Registry cleaners usually won't do any good to a computer (nor will it usually do any bad).

If you just want to clean up temporary files or free up hard disk space you can use ATF Cleaner.

And, even though some don't recommend it, you could also use CCleaner.

You can use the registry cleaner at your own risk, but if you decide you want to, then make sure you make a backup.
