dear friend(s),

i got an update message from windows update to install the following:

Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 Service Pack 1 and .NET Framework 3.5 Family Update for .NET versions 2.0 through 3.5 (KB951847) x86

i went to the update site and downloaded from it directly (instead through the automatic update icon/feature)

it downloaded completely but failed on installation.

the error message was:
Suite Integration Toolkit Executable has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience.
i am uploading/attaching the error report file generated.

i tried this many times, and it failed to install even after restarts.

i have winXP SP2 with all windowXP updates except SP3.

i hope this info is sufficient for you to diagnose what went wrong - with my comp, or with me.
:)

regards
biren
