I have a computer that has had trojans on numerous occasions. It did have malware on it, but we thought we had gotten rid of it. Know, the system is running slow when it works, which is almost never. The computer just freezes and nothing can get it to restart except a hard restart. Can Malware cause your computer to freeze right when you log on and the icon screen pops up? Also, sometimes it loads and lloks as if it will work fine, but the usual Macafee sign doesn't appear, and neither does a chat box that does everytime the computer is logged on to. If I click any icons because im hoping it will work, the one I clicked and another one dissapear. I then have to click a different Icon to get them to reappear. Nothing loads though. I have Malware bytes, but I can't get the computer to act right for five minutes to see if it will run.
