Hi!

I've been sitting with my mothers computer for several days now and have gotten rid of most malware (I think).
She had never had a virus program or a firewall installed, ever, so there was lots of them.
I used several programs like Ad Aware and Register Mechanic at first but after running them the computer got worse. So in the end I formated the harddrive and reinstalled XP, but several melware was still there.

So I surfed around the net to find some help and find you guys and have now gone through every step you recommend and now the malware seems to be gone. But still after that the problem with lsass.exe shutting down causeing the system to restart after 60 sec was still there. But that problem got fixed when I installed "Windows XP hotfix KB835732".
But now a new problem has arroused and that is that the system locks itself after a few minutes after startup (about 5-20 min), which has not been a problem before. This also sometimes causes the internet to get disconnected it seams since after restart I sometimes have to log on to the net again.
When it gets locked I´m forced to use the button on the computer tower to restart even though I can get int to the start menu and klick on restart or end, it just downs seem to start those processes, the comp just is still.
The computer always runs ok after restart....till the system locks itself (offcorse).

What can be the problem?
I have run all the programs you recommend but none of them finds anything suspicous anymore.

Very thankful for help!

Further down you can read the log from HijackThis.

Thanx! // Belinda
