Did you try with Linux yet?
This will help us conclude that the problem is with the drive or the OS.

Fix for XP install everything again

What exactly did you do?

Hello Kristime! I am doing good, how are you? :)

Thisis what i did , I place my Xp disc and made a Fix of Windows Xp

Do you mean a repair installation?

Lets try using Linux to make sure that the drive is the issue here, and not the OS.
See you soon.

hi edge !!

Today When I was ready to Install the Ubuntu O.S. I decide to place a rewritable disc in the tray to certified that everything was like I left it last nite, so I went and open InCD from Nero7 and GUESS WHAT !!

I didn't saw the message "No rewritable disc on D: drive" and the Erase word was not greyout so I press ERASE and the process started !!

I place another disc after the first was completely erased and then I went to: Start/ My Computer/ and right-clicked in the D:drive and saw the option reformat with InCD and Erase with InCD !!
So I tried again with another brand of rewritable and it worked !!
Then I tried the application you recommend me and It WORKED !!

I don't know what happened but I think the repair Install fix it !! or XP got scare of Ubuntu jijij :)

I really appreciate your help and time you spend to Help me :) thsnk you Edge2022 !!

--------------------------

SO...

Now ....after seeing this operating system Ubuntu and what can be done , looks pretty cool !!

How can I install this O.S. and get rid of Windows XP ? don't need both O.S. in my Compt. just Ubuntu.
Can I do it with the disc I already have as a back up of my Files as per your Instructions in your sign.?
Or it needs a Clean Install to avoid any corruption data ?

I'm glad you liked it. If you have a backup of your files, then follow this guide: https://help.ubuntu....raphicalInstall
