VirusScan picked up this thing, and my computer has been running extremely slow ever since. I try to delete with VirusScan, but it just says "Delete Failed" or "move failed" or "clean failed" depending on what I try to do. Also, it seems to be effecting my antispyware programs, they are unable to go through the entire scan before they freeze up (Ad-Aware and Spybot). I've gone through all the steps on the "read this" page, except that I haven't run a hijackthis log.

Thanks for any help you can give.

*Click here and download Killbox by Option^Explicit.
*Extract the program to your desktop and double-click on its folder, then double-click on Killbox.exe to start the program.
*In the killbox program, select the Replace on Reboot option and put a checkmark in the Use Dummy box.
*Copy this into the Full Path to File to Delete:
C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\cbaaw.dll
*Click the red-and-white "Delete File" button. Click "Yes" at the Delete on Reboot prompt. Click "No" at the Pending Operations prompt.
*If the computer does not reboot by itself do it manually.

Check the items listed below in HijackThis, close all windows except HijackThis and click Fix checked:

O2 - BHO: (no name) - {8E13DDE1-E013-47ec-9C4C-27C2F78BDD26} - C:\WINDOWS\system32\cbaaw.dll

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [ViewMgr] C:\Program Files\Viewpoint\Viewpoint Manager\ViewMgr.exe

O20 - Winlogon Notify: cbaaw - C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\cbaaw.dll

Then I would advise to uninstall
ViewPoint Manager
under Add/Remove Software.

Reboot again and post a new log.

A few questions:

- did you disable MicroSoft AntiSpyware's resident protection before you performed the changes with HijackThis. If not, try again.

- Find C:\WINDOWS\system32\cbaaw.dll, rightclick and open it with notepad.
Does it say it is Killbox' harmless replacement file?

- Do you know what this is:
Software Secure Service (SSISvr32) - SoftwareSecure Inc - C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\ssisvr32.exe
I couldn't find any usefull info about it.

Regards,
