Hello,

I am having internet issues. I have a wireless router which will connect to my laptop. Thiss router is wired into my home computer. The laptop connects to the internet fine, the home computer will not. The little moniter icons in the bottom corner say connected, but I can not get on the internet.

When I hit REPAIR LOCAL AREA CONNECTION, I get

Windows could not finish repairing the problem because the following action connot be completed:
Failed to query TCP/IP settings of the connection. Cannot proceed.

I really need help please.
I am not sure if this is related, but I have DVD's saved on my computer that will not open with windows media player. Both of these issues atarted at the same time. ????
The error I get is

Windows Media Player encountered a problem while playing the file.

I tried a system restore, and guess what?! I get an error message saying that it cannot restore to the chosen date. I have tried 8 different dates!

PLEASE HELP.
