Internet browser not working

I seem to have contracted a virus. My internet explorer does not work and firefox doesn't either. Yet I am able to sign onto aol instant messenger so i know my internet is okay. I am currently at college and i have a hp compaq nc6220 laptop. When I click internet explorer the page tries to open the website "http://go.microsoft..../?LinkId=74005" When I first contracted the virus I was still able to go online but when I did a google search, and tried to click on a result, a new window would pop open and it seemed like a pop up ad. I have attached the malwarebites logfile. any help is much appreciated. -adam
