Memorex 530L-16 dvd burner won't burn dl disks!

I have a Memorex combo CD/DVD Burner that has lightscribe on it and it's supposed to be able to burn dual layer dvd's. The only problem is that it won't burn dual layer discs. Every update I find for it is for the 20X speed not the 16X that I have. Everything else works though. Does anyone out there have this same problem?
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
