All Games keep freezing [Closed]

Up until about 3 days ago i could run my games perfectly with no problems. Then the screen freezes in a kind of blury off colour way and the game freezes for about 20 seconds, this happens every 10 seconds or so and so i cant play it. It started when i was playing battlefield pcific, i got it new and have been playing for nearly a week when suddenly the graphics started going a bit 'funny' and it started freezing, i assumed it was because it is a new game and my computer is relatively old. So i went back to playing Deus ex 2 and i started getting the same problem, so this makes me think that something is wrong.

I updated all the NVIDEA drivers from the website. Any ideas on what could be causing the problem or any ideas how to fix?

Pentium 4 CPU 3.06 GHz
1 GB RAM
NVIDEA GeForce 7600 GS display
