I have a dell 1525 that I think someone in my family dropped. It starts and fan comes on and then shuts of after 1 or 2 seconds. Then to try again you have to hold down power button and push again but same results if anyone has any Ideas I would appreciat it. thanks thekurf

It sounds like a damaged power switch, battery connector or a Motherboard.
Any of the three would require you to take it to a repair shop and have it looked at.

I found out it is powered on but no display nothing ever on screen. Nothing when plugged into desktop monitor as well. It does take a disk in cd drive but no display not even a flicker. Thanks thekurf
