May already have been answered elsewhere. If so I apologize. Using AVG (free) and IE. This morning received a message that my windows firewall was not on. I've seen this before and, if I recall correctly, was a Trojan of some sort.

Daily AVG scans have been detecting nothing. Ran a full scan and several infections were detected. Deleted infected files but started getting a pop up with logo similar to AVG stating that new Trojans had been detected.

Ran Malaware quick which detected several additional infections. Removed files and restarted computer. Unable to access internet. Modem indicates internet connection ok.

Ran Malaware full scan which detected a couple more infections. Removed files and restarted computer. Still unable to access internet. Modem indicates internet connection ok.

Discovered afterward that banking and 401k bookmarks are accessible. No go for everything else.

Netscape seems to work ok.

Thanks for any assistance.
