Just ran malwarebytes and it detected the above named problems. It has removed them so will see what happens. One thing that contiues to pop up when I turn the computer on is the following:
Entry point could not be found: apsSearchinterface.dynamic lin library. wlanapi.dll
and apsGetMIB dynamic link library wlanapi.dll. What is this and how do I get rid of it?

Am a new user to this site and I really appretiate your help. Thanks.
