Ok.
Disable auto restart and enable minidumps:

http://www.cakewalk....er/minidump.asp

Recreate your error, and post the BSOD code. When does this happen?
Also attach the minidump files. Go to the directory C:\Windows\Minidump
Make sure that hidden files are visible. Then zip up the files in that directory, and attach the .zip archive to your next post.

Thanks for the reply.

I have turned off auto restart. minidumps was already enabled but I made the requested changes. However, I don't know how to recreate the problem.

For now, I can attach the recent minidumps that have been saved and next time it happens I can capture the BSoD code.

Let me know if there's anything else I can do / provide to help investigate.

Both errors happened because of ativvaxx.dll, which is part of your video driver, so reinstalling the driver may help, but...
...the error says: PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA, which usually indicates RAM problem
Because, it's laptop with integrated video, regular RAM serves as video RAM, as well.
So, try to reinstall driver first.
If that doesn't help, test RAM.

Yes. Follow Broni's instructions above.
If you need help on uninstalling your video driver, or need help finding a driver update, post the make and model of your computer.
Also, post an Everest Report. Click on "Everest Instructions" in my sig, and follow the steps entailed.

Yes I do need help figuring out the driver. The laptop is Compaq nc6230.

also, the laptop used to be part of a network domain so home edition of Everest will not run.

Try downloading and installing this: http://h20000.www2.h...S...=135&mode=3

This driver is for your laptop, and works for Windows Pro and Home.

Thanks to both of you. I have installed the driver.
Let's hope I don't see the blue screen again.

Can I ask one more question...
Sometime ago, not sure how, my volume control panel disappeared from my system tray. How do i bring it back?
