Hi,

I recently tried to defrag my drives and everytime that I do I get a message saying "Defragmenter could not start". I tried to scan for viruses and found none. I also spent money on RegCure and it is not helping. I finally tried to system restore, but now that is not working. Finally I noticed that my browser will takes me to random pages that are not what I select. Can anyone help me? I am currently running Malewarebytes to see if that will solve the problem but I am gonna start to go broke buying things that are not helping.

I suggest you go to the Malware Forum and run all the steps located in the START HERE. These self-help tools will help you clean up 70% of problems on your own. If you are still having problems after doing the steps, then please post the reguested logs in THAT forum. If you are unable to run any of the tools then start a new topic in the malware forum and put this in the subject line...I am unable to run any malware tools

If you are still having problems after being given a clean bill of health from the malware expert, then please return to THIS thread and we will pursue other options to help you solve your current problem(s).

Registry cleaners
are dangerous programs for an untrained user to utilize(although experts prefer to do the work without the aid of these programs)... Please read this Blog from one of our Experts here. These programs can cause more problems and crash your computer better than help...

Follow what Rshaffer61 said as this is also a likely problem from my point of view...

I just wanted to give you that caution...

Good luck
