Followed posts on malware, run every check available. Not sure if this is malware though. i think something is corrupt, but i dunno.
Sometimes the computer halfway boots up windows xp, then goes to a screen that says
insert boot disk on A
and wont start
after i restart a few times, it'll finally run windows after awhile.
My computer also freezes ALL THE TIME!

I have a homemade computer by an "expert" and it is very new.

Please help!!

For whatever reason, you motherboard is not seeing your drive.

If you have it set to cable select, set it to master or single.

Have BIOS redetect your drive.

Try a different drive as a test (to ensure it is not the ide controller on the mobo)
