I have a dell computer that was working fine until yesterday. It was on then went to a black screen with a cursor. I tried to shut it down and reboot it. It shows the dell logo page and then goes back to a black screen with the cursor on it. Can anyone help??

Hello ydenning,
Can you press control + alt + delete, and start task manager? Try starting explorer.exe as a new task in the applications menu, if you can.

Edit: Some people do not see the open task manager option when they press control + alt + delete. Some only see:
- Lock this computer
- Switch users
- Logoff
- Change a password.

If you don't have the task manager option, try control + shift + esc.

Good Luck!
-Jason
