Help with Processes and Files

Hey, recently, I was tasked with this assignature, and I need help doing the following, without using Software.

1.Find out how many files can be opened by a Process.May this number be modified DURING the process, or before?

2.Find a list with all the files a process is using

3.Obtain the list of files a User is accessing

Any help would be apreciated, thanks.
