I'm not sure I'm in the right subsection for this... but I'm currently using Windows Vista so I don't know. I'm trying to convert movies and put them on my iPod. It's been really difficult and I thought all .mp4 files would work on my iPod touch. So far Nick and Norah (mp4) has been successfully added. Then I tried Madagascar 2. It's also an mp4, and the same size, but it won't upload onto my ipod. Why?

Depending on the source and format of the media files they might need to be converted.

Thanks I'll try that. I just don't see how one would work and not the other, yet they're both the same format and size.

Umm also if i'm not mistaken it says "At most only 5 minutes of the file will be converted" because I'm only using the trial version. Seriously? That's a little ridiculous if you ask me. No point in using it then, if that's the case.

Yes, the trail version only allows 5 minutes of video.

Google might reveal some other alternatives, it's worth a try.

Use prism, it's what i used..
Also a trial - but lasts 14 days or something, and you can do the whole video.

Haven't seen a completely free alternative yet. I'll let you know if i do.
