Click on "Recovery Console Instructions" in my sig, and follow the instructions to burn a CD.
Then boot from that CD. Go to the Recovery Console, and enter the admin pass.
Type in :
chkdsk /r
This process will take a long time to complete. Please DO NOT interrupt this process.
Post back with the results.

I have the same problem...I just bought the new Sony CS Vaio a week ago. I accidentaly dropped it and when i tried turning it on it showed a black screen with Operating System Not Found. So i tried pushing F2 and holding it until it showed Setup Utility. I enabled the boot configuration but then when i restart it, it shows "Media test failure, check cable, Exiting PXE ROM, and Operating System Not Found. Can someone suggest whats wrong with it??? Or what can i do???
