Things not yet mentioned:
Airplane!
The Manchurian Candidate (both the original and the remake)
Silence of the Lambs (Red Dragon was also pretty good)
First Blood (Part 1)

Most films Produced/Directed by Steven Spielberg

Recent title: Shutter Island. Obscure title: Civic Duty. Trilogy: Either Indiana Jones (I have mixed feelings on the 4th) or Back to the Future.

Items already mentioned:
National Treasure
Things by Mel Brooks ("So the combination is... one, two, three, four, five? That's the stupidest combination I've ever heard in my life! The kind of thing an idiot would have on his luggage! ")
Monty Python and the Quest for the Holy Grail ("Are you suggesting coconuts migrate?")

My favorite Christmas movies:

The Night They Saved Christmas---great cast of characters/excellent show for the kids who ask, "How does Santa get all those toys delivered in one night" and "How does he fit down the chimney" and "Is there really a North Pole?"

The Christmas List

Smokey Mountain Christmas---> Dolly Parton flick

I love a German film called Head-On (Gegen die Wand), it's really touching/uplifting in a bizarre way, but definitely worth watching, if only for the Depeche Mode soundtracked suicide attempt at the beginning!
