Just wondering what everyone's thoughts are on this.

I know my roommates have their views about it being too WOW like, but most people seem quite happy with how it's going.

I can't say i'm a huge fan of the first two Diablos, don't get me wrong I like action RPGs but I don't like potion drink-a-thon action RPGs. I don't want to be constantly drinking potions I just want to get down to the hacking and slashing.

From what i've seen of Diablo 3 it looks and sounds incredible and hopefully the new characters will shake it up a bit. I'm glad there are focusing more on the combat and less on healing yourself.

I myself don't know why your room mates are saying it too much like WOW, it's formula hasn't changed that much since the first two. I suppose all new RPGs (especially MMO's) are going to be compared to WOW. I wonder if they'll be a new genre called "WOWlike"?
