double click doesnt work

whenever i double click on any of the drives
i get the the following error.....................



q9.cmd - application error

The application failed to initialize properly (0xc0000005).click on ok to terminate the program


this happens everytime when i install some program.................


i tried restoring(system retore) the system..............
buyt as soon as i install something............
it happens again...............
i would be greatly thankful.if some one could help me with this...................please am desperete.....
