missing wmpdxm.dll

I am trying to take a course online through my work. I keep getting the error message; 3565 Object does not support this property or method.
I was informed that I needed to enable Active X file wmpdxm.dll in manage Add-ons in the Tools menu. But when I got there this file is not there. How can I fix this?

Hi Beth,

Please download and run the following...

Reset IE to Defaults - Link

Reset WMP File Assoc - Link

Reboot the Machine.

-=Uninstall Windows Media Player=-

1) Click Start >> Run
2) In the open Dialogue box, Type appwiz.cpl >> click ok
3) Locate Windows Media Player, Click Remove
4) Reboot

Download & Reinstall Windows Media Player
