I have an Epson Stylus Photo R300 on XP Home. I've had the printer for some time but never used the memory card slots. The printer has a green light that goes on when a card is inserted. For some reason the light turns on just for a second then shuts off. I'm assuming the printer can't read the memory card. I have a USB cable for the camera, but that does not work either. It worked fine on my dad's computer which has the card slots on it, but I can't understand why it will not work with my printer, with the USB or the card. Any ideas would be a relief?

The printer drivers could be out of date - in comparison to the memory card.

I would recommend to reinstall the printer's drivers. If you have printer setup disks, or disks for the printer included by a manufacturer...use those!

Please post back here for help.

Tried that already. I reinstalled the memory card reader software and the driver software. I don't think there are any updates on the Epson website. I'll double check and get repost.

Thanks for the reply.
