windows media 2005 center won't start

I have a sony vaio and after restoring the complete system and clicking the gree icon of the media center I receive the following message:

Application has generated an exception that could not be handled
Process id=0x8ec(2284), thread id=oxa88(2696)
Click OK to terminate the application
Click Cancel to debug the application

Any idea haw to solve this?
