Hi. I recently purchased a webcam, and the program won't install itself. I went onto the company's webpage, and then they said that my OS might have an issue, as it installs itself on another computer, but not mine. (I have Windows XP, SP 3)

Do you think that they're correct? And if so, how would I be able to repair / clean my OS?

What happens when you try to install webcam software?
Did you try to install it on another computer, or this is what they say?
Eventually...return the webcam to the store, and get different brand.

It like shuts down by itself when I try to install it.

I tried to install it on another computer, and then it successfully installed.

I'm probably gonna return the webcam though and get a different brand, but I'm more or less wondering though why it would install on one computer but not on another.

I'm going to take it back tomorrow though and try out a new brand, and if it doesn't successfully install, then I'll be pretty worried.
